Results of Replacing Bonding
Ivy had bonding placed several years prior by another office. She felt that the teeth were “dingy” and “oddly shaped”. Ivy wanted to replace her bonding with a more attractive durable option. We unified Ivy’s smile by placing stacked porcelain veneers on 8 teeth. By using “stacked contact lens” veneers as opposed to “pressed” veneers we were able to complete Ivy’s treatment with “no-prep veneers”, providing a much more conservative option to conventional veneers. We simply removed the prior bonding and recountoured the natural tooth prior to fabricating the veneers. This option preserves much more tooth than conventional crowns and veneers. Ivy loves her new smile and particularly loves that we left her natural teeth essentially untouched.
